ITHouse is looking for a Data Engineer to join a small, dynamic team dedicated to developing data analytics applications on an AWS cloud-based big data platform.
The ideal candidate has experience with Python and SQL, an interest in data science, and the ability to work independently and proactively.
Responsibilities
- Develop end-to-end features on a cloud-based (AWS) big data platform, based on data analysis and processing
- Actively participate in discussions regarding feature architecture and in defining data flows and processes
- Create proofs of concept
- Develop production versions, test, and deploy in development, quality assurance, and production environments
- Monitor initial operation and perform debugging and ongoing maintenance
- Document the features created
- Provide support for data extraction and exploratory analysis
Requirements
- Experience with Python, particularly in data manipulation and processing
- Experience with SQL
- Experience in programming and debugging
- Interest in the field of data science
A Plus
- Experience with AWS (e.g., S3, Lambda, Athena, EC2, Glue, CDK/CloudFormation, Step Functions, Batch, Fargate, among others)
- Spark / PySpark
- Git
- Jupyter Notebooks
- Experience in application development and/or working in production environments
