Data Integration Platform Engineer (Expert)

IT House is currently recruiting a Platform Engineer (MuleSoft/Automation) for a client in the insurance industry in the Lisbon area.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design, develop, and maintain automation scripts that reduce manual operational effort;
• Identify repetitive operational tasks and lead automation initiatives to increase efficiency;
• Create automation solutions using Python, PowerShell, shell scripting, or platform-specific tools;
• Manage platform capacity and performance, ensuring availability, scalability, and optimal resource utilization;
• Design and implement self-healing and self-remediation mechanisms for common operational failures;
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance platform stability and performance;
• Ensure platform capacity management, including monitoring, growth forecasting, and planning;
• Provide support for major incidents and service restoration activities;
• Serve as the liaison between internal and external vendors in an international context.

PROFILE

• 5 to 7 years of experience in MuleSoft platform management (operations, not API development), including Omni Gateway (Flex Gateway);
• Terraform, GitHub, OpenShift, and ArgoCD;
• Authentication/authorization and API security (OAuth, OpenID);
• AWS and Azure—basic level;
• Knowledge of ITIL processes;
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills in a multicultural environment;
• Preferred: XML, XSD, WSDL, Java, JSON, networking fundamentals, certificate management, SOAPUI/Postman, and Linux;
• C1-level English and a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field;
• Willingness to work outside standard hours and to travel abroad on an occasional basis.
