A well-known company in the construction industry, based in the Azores, is looking for a Construction Manager for the island of São Miguel.nbsp;
CANDIDATE
The successful candidate will be a Construction Manager responsible for civil construction projects (public, private, and residential), with the following primary responsibilities:
- Planning and coordinating the activities of the multidisciplinary teams on-site, ensuring that deadlines and financial targets are met;
- Managing and supervising the construction project, ensuring that processes proceed in accordance with technical specifications and project requirements;
- Establishing and facilitating communication among all stakeholders, fostering an environment conducive to the project’s success;
- Identifying and resolving any issues that may impact the progress of the project, minimizing impacts on the budget and schedule;
- Ensure strict compliance with all workplace safety standards;
- Provide support and gather the necessary information to respond to requests from external regulatory agencies, inspections, audits, or other contingencies;
- Prepare measurement reports and progress reports, ensuring that all project documentation is properly organized, including contracts, permits, and other necessary records.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering;
- Registered with the Portuguese Order of Engineers;
- At least 2 years of experience in similar roles, particularly in civil construction projects;
- Solid knowledge of civil engineering, architecture, and technical standards in the construction field.
